Our Rounder girl for April 07 was born in Sacramento, California but has lived in Birmingham most of her life.

“My dad was in the army, and when I was little my parents split. My mom, who was from Alabama, moved us back here.”

Anastassia works at Martini’s in Hoover, but her sights are on the big screen.

“I am not the kind of person who lives in the moment. I spend a lot of time dreaming about and planning for the future. I want to be a successful model and actor. When you have been blessed with certain talents you should use them. I am photogenic, and I am 6’2 which is great for a model.”

She has already begun living her dream.

“I was in a fashion shoot for Seventeen Magazine and was an extra in Talladega Nights. I am in the last screen when Cal Norton wins the Talladega 500. You can see me standing next to his car during celebration wearing a red Dodge jacket.”

Anastassia doesn’t play poker but admires the game. “I wish I could play poker, but I need a really good teacher that can show me the ropes.”

She does enjoy watching poker and was excited to learn she would be featured in the same issue of Rounder as the girlfriend of her favorite player, Chad Brown.

“It is really cool – Vanessa and I both like the same guy. Chad is a great poker player, but the fact that he is an actor is really appealing. He is excelling in both professions. Acting and poker go hand in hand. I admire the players who are good actors and don’t have to wear a disguise like sunglasses and a hat.”

Her family connections may just help our Rounder girl get the big break she needs.

“Mark Edge is my uncle. He is a wonderful jewelry designer in Atlanta. His clients include Lucy Lu, Drew Barrymore and Julia Roberts. His biggest client is Courtney Cox. He goes to Italy and other places in Europe looking for jewelry ideas. I like having a famous uncle who can keep me informed about fashion trends before they become big.”

Anastassia’s motto is dream big or stay at home.
