Art Peacock secured his first World Poker Tour® title by winning the WPT® Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Championship. Peacock outlasted a massive field of 1,755 players to earn a spot on the Mike Sexton Champions Cup, a $776,000 first-place prize, and a seat at the season-ending WPT World Championship in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The 74-event trophy “Poker Showdown” series took place over a three-week span at the luxurious Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, Florida. It attracted over 21,000 entrants and generated more than $20,000,000 in prize pools.
“There are so many great people at the Seminole Hard Rock — they run really great events” said Peacock following his win. “They do such a great job. I am happy for me, and I am happy for them.”
The Championship event boasted a total prize pool of $5,616,000, awarding the top 220 entrants a minimum cash prize of $6,400.

Finishing runner-up was Mihai Niste earning $515,000. Daniel Marcus finished third taking home $380,000. Rounding out the final table were Mitchell Hynam (4th place – $285,000), Jared Hemingway (5th place – $215,000), and Jeffery Fritz (6th place – $164,000).
