Thirty-one years ago today, a 22-year-old Dolores O’Riordan (#RIP) and The Cranberries (@The_Cranberries) delivered one of the most epic performances ever recorded—at #Woodstock1994.
The Irish alternative rock band’s set included hit songs “Zombie,” which the record label initially didn’t want to release due to its political undertones; “Linger,” the band’s first major hit; and “Dreams,” written by Dolores about her first love. “It’s about feeling really in love for the first time,” she revealed. In the video, young fans can be seen bodysurfing and dancing in the mud as Dolores mesmerizes the crowd with her flawless soprano voice and signature yodel.

Tragically, the beloved star, who struggled with depression and the pressures associated with superstardom, died by accidental drowning in a bathtub while sedated by alcohol intoxication on January 15, 2018, at the age of 46. However, her legacy lives on through her music and the positive impact she had on millions of fans worldwide.
