The Beau Rivage Casino & Resort

Luxury, offerings keep Beau Rivage at top

The Beau Rivage Resort & Casino continues to bring them in.

Looking at what’s offered at the Biloxi venue, in addition to the famous gaming attractions, that isn’t surprising.

Part of MGM Resorts International, the Beau has 11 restaurants, five lounges and bars, a spa and saloon, and 10 retailers. The establishment also features a championship golf course, a pool, and a 1550-seat theatre and convention center.

With 1,740 rooms, the resort is the biggest in the Southeast to receive AAA Four Diamond recognition.
The Beau attracted more than 3.3 million visitors in 2021.

Location, always key when it comes to real estate, is clearly an advantage for the resort. On the Gulf Coast, the Beau Rivage is about an hour by car from New Orleans and Mobile, 20 minutes from Gulfport/Biloxi International Airport, which welcomes nearly 800,000 travelers every year. Five major carriers, including American Airlines, Delta and United fly into Gulfport/Biloxi.

Being part of an entertainment and hospitality giant gives the 32-story Beau access to MGM Direct. In 2021, more than 80,000 guests, from 90 cities in the U.S., arrived via the charter service. On any night, 400 rooms at the resort are occupied by visitors who flew MGM Direct.

Despite having worldwide competition, the Beau has stayed a top destination since it first opened in March 1999. A subsequent renovation – in August 2006 – cost $550 million. Guest rooms and suites were recently remodeled, to the tune of $55 million.

The room renovations, inspired by life along the Gulf, incorporate a color palette, paying tribute to regional sunsets, driftwood and reflections off the water.

Artwork honors plants and animals native to the region.

Guests in renovated rooms rest and relax on Bellagio-branded mattresses by Stearns & Foster.
Before calling it a night, visitors can enjoy premier entertainment in the above-noted theatre (Beau Rivage Theatre).

Among the talent that’s taken the stage there are Tony Bennett, Mariah Carey, Jay Leno, Alanas Morissette, The Beach Boys and Billy Idol.

For those looking to test golf skills – indoors – there’s Topgolf Swing Suite, where golfers, regardless of experience, take swings through state-of-the-art simulators. A variety of other virtual games are also available.

The resort’s casino, a factor so instrumental in putting the Beau on the map, has 75 table games, more than 1,300 slot machines, and video poker. The poker room has 16 tables.

On August 1, 2018, the Beau Rivage took the first legal sports bet in Mississippi. Sports betting happens in the BetMGM Book Bar & Grill, where participants will find six betting windows, four kiosks and around-the-clock action, seven days a week.

To guarantee guests get the highest level of attention, the Beau employs almost 3,000 people, making it, in terms of the private sector, the largest employer in Biloxi. That’s been the case for more than two decades.
