Bobby Moree Takes Top Prize In 2020 MDH Senior Event At The Beau

Published on January 8, 2020

Biloxi, MS : It was a long day for the Seniors as 400 competitors battled it out for over 12 hours on Tuesday in Event #7 ($300 Senior $50k No-Limit Hold’em).

A total prize pool of $94,800 created a first place prize of $25,600.

In the end it was Bobby Moree from Pearl River, LA who took first place honors after the final 6 players agreed to a chop.

Moree, who’s been playing poker about 9 years, primarily at The Beau, was very gracious in victory. “I had a good run of cards” he said, recalling winning big hands with AK suited and a set of 77s as keys to his win. “I also won hands with KKs and AAs.”

“The event was run excellent and the dealers are as good as you can get”. Moree doesn’t plan on taking a break. “Tomorrow is the Monster Stack and I plan on being in it”. He also noted “I’m going to do my best to be in the main ($2,000 High Roller”) this coming weekend.

With his expanded bankroll he says you can also expect to see him “expand” his play a little bit too.

Wednesday offers two $400 Monster Stack flights, the first with a 12:00 p.m. (noon) start, and a second at 5:00 p.m.

Each night at 7:00 p.m. “The Supers” ($100 buy-ins with $50 re-buys) continue till Saturday Jan 11th.
