St. Catharines, ON, Canada native Kristen Foxen won her sixth World Series of Poker bracelet Sunday night in Las Vegas by taking down Event #19: $25,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold’em for $1,773,083, boosting her lifetime winnings to just under $19 million.
Two years ago, Foxen cemented her status as one of poker’s best when she ran deep in the 2024 WSOP Main Event, falling just short of becoming the first woman to make a Main Event final table since Barbara Enright accomplished the feat in 1995. In 2025, Leo Margets added her name to the record books by making the final table, eventually finishing in seventh place for $1,500,000.
Foxen was awarded the “Female Player of the Year” title for the fifth time in her career in 2025. While acknowledging her appreciation for the recognition in the past, she’s stated that she prefers “not separating men and women when it comes to poker.” The 345-player field was stacked with some of the game’s best, further highlighting her accomplishment.
“This was just all the best pros in the world,” she told PokerNews. “I haven’t won a large $25k yet, so it feels really good. Things just went my way. It was really a dream. It feels like where I’m supposed to be and what I’m supposed to be doing. I’m just so blessed that I found poker and that I’m able to do this.”
